FAQ'S

This page is for all those random questions that seem absurd...

How old does my dog have to be to receive training?

- We train dogs of all ages from puppy to senior, but we highly recommend waiting until 6 months if you are choosing our Board n Train program. Ultimately, a free evaluation will help us determine the best route for your pup!

Does my dog need to be neutered or get any vaccines before coming?

- Neutering is not necessary during your dogs stay with us. However, no matter what service you choose to move forward with, your dog must have proof of the following 3 vaccinations:

  • Rabies (1 or 3 yr)
  • Distemper (DHPP+)
  • Bordetella (kennel cough)

Can I visit my dog during training?

Unfortunately, we do not allow owners to visit with their dogs during a Board n Train or Day n Train. When your dog is in training, the last thing you want is for them to think they are going home and then watch you leave and that opens up an opportunity for separation anxiety that wasn't there before. We do our best to make sure you both have a chance to say your goodbyes and we provide many updates throughout the training via text and video.

If my dog comes to board, what do I need to bring with them?

- No mater if your dog stays for a night or several weeks, we do have a few requests to help make their stay as comfortable as possible:

  • food to last a few days longer than you expect them needing
  • medications, ointments or daily supplements
  • make sure they have a collar on or bring one with them
  • any toys or treats that they love
  • any raised dog bowls or slow feeders your dog eats from
  • any training collars or tools you use to train with them

What do I NOT bring with them?

- We are so glad you asked! This question might be just as important as the one above:

  • please leave all blankets, towels and dog beds at home
  • leave any soft toys or stuffed animals at home so they stay nice and soft
  • leave normal dog food bowls at home
  • and if you're not sure if you should bring it, feel free to just ask!
